Drew Darby was born in San Angelo, attended San Angelo public schools. Drew attended the University of Texas on a football scholarship and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Finance with a minor in Accounting. He earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas.
Drew is the founder of W. Drew Darby and Associates Law Firm and President of two Land Title Insurance Companies serving 12 counties. Drew was first elected to serve House District 72 in the Texas House of Representatives for the 80th Legislative Session and appointed to serve on the Appropriations, House Administration and Business and Industries committees.

Drew and his wife, Clarisa Fisher Darby, have five children and new grandbaby.
